LIESL was a reticulan spy of the Fencepost Period.

As is typical of most reticulan individuals, little is known about her. It is a paradox that, from an objective point of view, reticulans appear to be utterly indistinguishable, inside and out, yet human encounters reveal relationships with individuals as unique and mult-faceted as their own.

It known Liesl was intimately connected with Nathan Rex's mission which helped precipitate the Throwing Off. Though the Reticulans do not have gender, Liesl is traditionally described in female terms. In Blue spy handler Martin Pulley's book "Lion's Leash", Nathan Rex speaks of Liesl in almost affectionate terms:

"I hate friends. I've never wanted friends. Liesl understood that. And so she became - god damn me - she became my best friend."

She is believed to have perished on March Time Pelago. Some suggested at the time that she died at the hands of Nathan Rex himself.
