The Spapig migrates between northern and southern hemisphere, following the blooms of these shoals. It swims swiftly with six large paddles and three broadly-finned tails.
Occasionally breeding pairs of Spapig are spotted. A pair may swim together for up to half the Shuttleworth year, but most of the time the Spapig is solitary.
Tradition on Shuttleworth has it that seeing a Spapig during winter is an omen of good luck.
