LAN SHIPAO is a main-sequence white star orbited by four planets – Shipao I, Lantil Mybea, Lannic, and Parao. Its second planet, Lantil Mybea, is one of the busiest ports in existence.
Lan Shipao was one of the first major hubs for interstellar transportation and shipping. The discovery of rich deposits of fuel grade heavy elements on its two rocky planets, Lantil Mybea and Lannic, and in its two asteroid rings, brought early prospectors to the region in large numbers and quickly made the star system a fully self-sufficient refueling and maintenance stop.
The Lan Shipao system was the principle source of fuel-grade bismuth for the Tres Magna until the end of the Fencepost Period.
